Combat, intuitive controls are the highlight of this Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition trailer

As we approach the release of Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition on 27 October for the PC, Xbox One and PS4, Larian Studios has published a new video giving us a look at the combat in the game.

The RPG features turn-based combat, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fluid or dynamic. This time around, one can expect new difficultly modes – Explorer, Classic, Tactician and Honour – for those looking for a challenge. The clip also shows off the new intuitive control scheme for the gamepad, that lets one utilize the array of spells and abilities at their character’s disposal. There are various classes/archetypes to choose from, including the all-new Inquisitor, while the game also boasts of online and offline co-op elements.

The trailer illustrates some of the innovative and interesting ways one can utilise the environment to one’s advantage; from electrifying opponents by zapping the water underfoot to igniting a nearby oil barrel, the possibilities are numerous and fun to experiment around with.
