Here are the first screenshots from first-person narrative-driven Sunset

The first set of work in progress screenshots from Sunset, a Kickstarter-funded first-person narrative-driven title by Tale of Tales, is out and it showcases the setting and distinctive art style of the game.

Set to arrive this Spring on the PC, Mac and Linux, Sunset revolves around Angela Burnes, who is a housekeeper of a luxurious home owned by wealthy but mysterious Gabriel Ortega; players will explore the apartment, which is situated in a fictional South American city, and go about their duties and gradually learn more about the employer’s motives.

All this will result in making decisions that will affect the story, and the lack of a fail state means that one’s approach and play style and intent to explore can result in a playthrough as short as 90 minutes or as long as six hours. While the screens aren’t exactly representative of the final product, the interesting use of tones, lighting and colour saturation illustrate the setting and make it stand out from other games in the genre. Sunset also features a soundtrack by Austin Wintory, an American composer known for his work on games such as flOw and Journey.
