Gameplay video, Screenshots confirm GTAV first-person mode for PC, Xbox One and PS4

Rockstar has revealed a new feature for the upcoming PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV), with a three-minute video and lots of screenshots illustrating the all new first-person mode.

This mode can be activated in both single-player as well as GTA Online, allowing one to experience Los Santos and Blaine County from an entirely new perspective. This doesn’t just mean a change the camera, as the developers have worked to incorporate a, optional first-person cover feature, a new targeting system and thousands of fresh animations. Best of all, one can switch between this and the traditional mode on-the-fly.

The video demonstrates this fresh view as the player explores the city and its environs, driving a Lampadati Felon GT coupe and evading cops, flying by wind turbines in a helicopter, shooting up gang members, flying a small plane which has one man hanging off a wing, tasing people, blowing things up with an RPG, skilfully driving a Dinka Thrust motorcycle on city streets on a rainy night while bypassing oncoming traffic and flying a jet (P-996 Lazer) and shooting up other aerial vehicles.

The open-world action-adventure release on 18 November on the Xbox One and PS4 and on 27 January 2015 on the PC.
