No Man’s Sky E3 trailers, images portray numerous worlds, creatures

Indie studio Hello Games released two new trailers as well as several images – consisting of screenshots and artwork – from No Man’s Sky, their sandbox scifi exploration game for the PS4 featuring procedurally generated worlds. With a whole universe filled with varied and exciting systems to explore, the lack of predefined limits astounds one with its ambitious nature and the potential for greatness.

Players can start out on land, move towards the ocean and submerge underwater, get into their spaceships and fly out straight towards another planet, which is likely to feature its own distinctive ecosystem (environments, vegetation and fauna). The clips further underline the game’s open-world nature with “Infinite Worlds” showcasing a variety of environments (underwater/on land etc), creatures inhabiting the different worlds one can explore, as well as combat in space.

The second video contains around three minutes of gameplay, and its starts off with the player scanning and discovering a new location (Oria V Caves) and resources location therein, after which he moves outside and we see new species of fauna, including some that look like deer, rhinos and dinosaurs (Daplokarus!).  He then takes off in his spacecraft and rushes into combat with other ships, before chasing a few straggles through a canyon on a desert planet.
