Outlast 2 confirmed by Red Barrels
Indie studio Red Barrels has revealed that it is working on Outlast 2, sequel to the first-person survival horror game in which players assumed the role of a journalist investigating Mount Massive Asylum.
In an interview exclusive to BloodyDisgusting, the developer revealed that the upcoming title will feature an-all new cast and setting, though it does occur in the same universe as Outlast, which launched in September 2013 on the PC. A subsequent DLC called Outlast: Whistleblower was released later in May this year, starring a software engineer employed at the institute who attempted to blow the lid on the ongoings at the asylum.
While a release date and platforms for the successor have not been confirmed as yet, we expect that it will arrive on the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
