Teaser trailer issued for Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire

Whale Hammer Games has released a teaser trailer for Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire, a tactical turn-based RPG under development for the PC, Mac and Linux.

The clip stars off with the titular character having a conversation with her horse Iba and then travelling across some different locations before using her staff in combat against soldiers wielding swords and shields. The clip illustrates the rotoscoped character animations that makes the visual style stand out.

The RPG revolves around Tahira, an unwilling leader who is the last princess of a small realm called Avestan, attempting to find a new home for her people while the enemy pursues them. The game, which will head to Kickstarter in 2015, allows players to upgrade their forces according to their preferred tactics, and fight the enemy in a world consisting of element of scifi and medieval fantasy.
