Trio of screenshots from Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture

It’s been several months since we have heard anything new about Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, so this fresh update on the post-apocalyptic adventure is very welcome indeed.

The Chinese Room has issued a trio of screenshots illustrating the visual splendour of the CryEngine 3-powered first-person game. The images showcase a the exterior of a church at night, a car parked outside a pub called “The Seventh Whistler”, and an illuminated figure next to an overturned wheelbarrow in the forest.

The developers have also revealed a bit more about Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, which is heading towards Alpha. There will be six distinctive major areas in the open-world, which the studio is striving to ensure accurately portrays a 1980s-era version of rural England. Their main intent is to provide a gaming experience with a compelling and emotionally engaging story in an atmospheric setting, and they appear to be drawing closer to that goal.
