Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut trailer welcomes you to the post-apocalyptic life

This new trailer for Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut mixes live-action sequences and bits of the game to underline the premise and setting of inXile’s post-apocalyptic RPG.

All set for release on 13 October in the Americas and 16 October elsewhere for the Xbox One and PS4, this iteration of the game boasts of improved visuals, more voice-overs and numerous other gameplay enhancements including some new features. The tactical turn-based combat is set in the aftermath of Armageddon/nuclear apocalypse in what appears to be a desolate Arizona and California.

The trailer highlights how this has led to the rise of elements like the cultists, criminals and cannibals, as survival is the only aim for most of humanity’s remnants. In this scenario, the player assembles a squad of Desert Rangers, set outs to explore an open-world wherein your actions and interactions have different consequences and prompt varying reactions from other characters, as the game leaves it up to you if you want to indulge in negotiations, resort to intimation tactics or pure combat against those who would oppose your plans.
