Batman: Arkham Origins reveals 3 vs.3 vs.2 multiplayer, developed by Splash Damage

Warner Bros Interactive today announced that the multiplayer mode for Batman Arkham: Origins is currently under development at UK studio Splash Damage, which previously worked on  Brink and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The online mode in the action-adventure game is called “Invincible Predator, described as an asymmetrical 3 vs.3 vs. 2 mode which means it supports maximum of 8 players and features traditional Arkham gameplay with third-person shooter mechanics.  The group of eight is divided into three factions consisting of three thugs from Joker’s gang facing off three members of Bane’s side in a third-person cover shooter perspective while Batman and Robin work together to take out members of both criminal factions.

Each faction will feature unique customisation with unlockable items and outfits, such as new weapons and new loadouts.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on 25th October for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  The game is currently under development at WB Games Montreal.
