Dead Island developers working on new Zombie survival game Dying Light, first screenshots below

Techland – makers of the impressive wild west-themed Call of Juarez and more recently, the zombie-based Dead Island games – have revealed a new title called Dying Light, which is also an open-world first-person zombie action/survival horror game. Set for release sometime next year, the game is being developed for the PC and next-generation consoles and features a Day/Night cycle.

Dying Light revolves around the player travelling across vast urban environments devastated by the zombie outbreak searching for supplies and utilising this to craft weapons; however, at night-time the monsters come out to play, and survivors will need to use all they have, including their wits, to persist. The extremely impressive visuals depicted in the images below come from Techland’s proprietary Chrome Engine 6.
