Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PAX EAST Trailer + Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Release Date and trailer

Two bits of news today for fans of the long-running fantasy action-RPG series. First off, we have a new trailer out of PAX East for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, while Square Enix has also confirmed the release date of the Heavensward expansion for Final Fantasy XIV with another new trailer.

This video for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD starts off somewhat grimly, depicting a dark outlook for the good guys, before switching to sequences of combat with the different chracters of Class Zero.

Meanwhile, those eagerly waiting for Heavensward wil be happy to know that it will arrive on 23 June for the PC, PS4, PS3 and Mac. IT will raise the level cap from 50 to 60, feature an all-new player race called the Au Ra, who distinct physical appearance is characterised by scaled skin and curved horns; various new areas including floating islands and flying mounts to pilot; new equipment and recipes; a new raid dungeon series; fresh beast tribes (Vanu Vanu, Gnath) and primals (Bismarck, Ravana) and new jobs – greatsword-wielding Dark Knight, divining deck and star globe holder Astrologian and firearms and mechanical turrets expert Machinist.
