GDC 2015: CRYENGINE Tech Showcase, Licensee trailers + Incredibly Detailed Screenshots

Crytek has posted two new trailers showing off the power of their very own CRYENGINE, its varied utilisation in a number of games, and several screenshots showing of some incredible visuals powered by the engine.

The first trailer highlights a few of the features that CRYENGINE is capable of, including 3D HDR Lens Flares, Image Based Lighting, Physically Based Rendering, Real-Time Local Reflections, Realistic Vegetation, Screen Space Directional Occlusion and Volumetric Fog Shadows.


The second trailer depicts the diversity of the engine, as we see it utilised by various developers for a wide range of games, including strategy title Civilization Online by XL Games, platformer Rolling Sun, hack ‘n’ slash RPG Umbra from SolarFall Games, non-combat MMO Wander, multiplayer post-apocalyptic survival-based sandbox Miscreated by Entrada Interactive, first-person adventure Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture from The Chinese Room, Turtle Rock Studios’ asymmetrical multiplayer FPS/action title Evolve, MOBA King of Wushu by Snail Games, action-RPG Lichdom: Battlemage by Xaviant and Warhorse Studios medieval open-world action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
