The Master of Deduction returns in Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments E3 Trailer, Screenshots

Focus Home Interactive and Frogwares’ multiplatform investigation game gets a new trailer and a few screenshots ahead of E3, seeing Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s popular creation delve into crimes that leave the average man (and Scotland Yard!) stumped. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments puts players in the shoes of the titular detective as he investigates scenes of crime, analyses clues and interrogates suspects to solve the various cases in the Unreal Engine 3-powered adventure.

Set to arrive on 4 September on the PC, Xbox 360, Ps3, Xbox One and PS4, the game boasts of multiple endings that one can arrive at based upon conclusion arrive at via their deductive reasoning and analysis of the crimes, which include murders, thefts and disappearances. One of the interesting features of Crimes & Punishments is that players can reach wrong conclusions based on their (mis)interpretation of the evidence, which could also result in innocent people being imprisoned/sentenced to death for something that they did not do.

This not only enhances the game’s replayability, but it also adds to the immersion and makes your decisions appear more meaningful, due to the impact that they could have.  The clip introduces the various characters in the game, and some of the crimes that Holmes will have to solve.
