The Bureau: XCOM Declassified – The Art of the Bureau

2K Marin has issued a new developer diary delving further into The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and specifically the Art of the Bureau. The developers talk about how the timeframe shaped the portrayal of the characters and setting, and Creative Director Morgan Gray elaborates on how the team attempted to give the enemy a scary and more hostile look to suit the alien menace theme. Art Director Jeff Weir expands on how the game evolved into a darker, grittier look with the art style changing accordingly to depict a more practical and grimmer reality.

They also reveal the various influences which help shape the game, such as The X-Files with its mysterious vibe. Check out our previous articles for more videos of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, which arrives on 20 August on the PC and current-gen consoles.
