Far Cry 4 goes Gold; new PVP Mode revealed with trailer, screenshots

Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming FPS has gone gold, which means that its right on track for release on 18 November; accompanying this bit of news is the reveal of a new PvP mode for Far Cry 4 with a new trailer and some images illustrating the same.

Titled “Battles of Kyrat”, it shows the battle in Kyrat between the despotic Pagan Min’s special troops called the Rakshasa and the Golden Path rebellion; the former can summon animals to attack enemies, ride elephants, and can use swarm and blink arrows to deadly effect among other abilities. On the other hand, the Golden Path rely on modern weapons like assault rifles, flamethrowers, mortars and shotguns as well as vehicles to attain their objective.

This multiplayer mode consist of 5v5 round-based matches of an average 20 minutes, with at least 10 maps available at launch. The Outpost mode sees the Golden Path attempting to construct an outpost while the opposing side needs to capture these positions; Propaganda involves the latter defending installations spreading the despot’s propaganda while the rebel forces must destroy it; Demon Mask has both factions fighting to secure the titular powerful artifact.
