FPS Dirty Bomb relaunched as Extraction; plethora of screens, concept art issued

Nexon America revealed that the PC-exclusive multiplayer-oriented FPS previously known as Dirty Bomb being developed by Splash Damage (Brink, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars) has been relaunched as Extraction, and has issued a multitude of screenshots and concept art accompanying the announcement. The game is said to be a blend of tactical gameplay, fast-paced combat and team-oriented strategy, with players able to choose for a wide range of characters boasting varied abilities resulting in diverse playstyles.

Extraction takes place in London by its citizens in the wake of a mysterious radiological attack, leaving mercenary squads fighting to procure any valuable intel left behind, or destroy it if unable to secure the information to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. The screenshots show off some of the characters and maps players can expect in the game, while the artwork focuses on the varied environments in Extraction. The game will be shown for the first time at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle from 30 August to 2 September.
