PS4-exclusive Infamous: Second Son trailer consists of in-engine rendered footage

Sony recently revealed Infamous: Second Son, the third game in the open-world action-adventure platformer Infamous franchise, developed by Sucker Punch Productions exclusively for the PS4. The debut trailer below features footage rendered using the Second Son game engine and models, and introduces a new protagonist to the series, Delsin Rowe.

The upcoming game takes place in futuristic Seattle where superhumans are feared and therefore ruthlessly hunted down and detained by the Department of Unified Protection. Rowe – upon discovery of his abilities – decides to search for others like him and free/save them from the grip of the D.U.P, even as the latter relentlessly pursue him. The previous two games were a lot of fun, featuring wide open worlds to explore and plenty to do and distract you from the main quest. I have high hopes for Infamous: Second Son, though given that the release date hasn’t been announced yet, we might have to wait until next year for this to arrive.
