PS4 twin-stick shooter Helldivers gets a handful of new screenshots
Arrowhead Game Studios has issued a bunch of new screenshots from Helldivers, their top-down twin-stick shooter for the PS4 set in a dystopian world with a number of randomly-generated maps, wherein the player is a member of the titular elite force battling three enemy alien races. The game allows for character progress, with players earning new weapons and perks as they do so.
The images also show the enemy races, such as the bionically augmented Cyborg’s, who wield heavy armour and devastating projectile weaponry, as well as the snowy environment, whose dynamic nature requires one to think tactically and adapt their battle strategy; movement through ice/snowy terrain can be slow. There are also several mechs to drool over, with the standard variant wielding a Gatling gun and a grenade launcher pod. Helldivers will also arrive on the PS3 and PS Vita later this year.
