Sniper Elite 3 – First Pre-Beta Gameplay footage and screenshots

After the short trailer back in December 2013, Rebellion has finally chosen to unveil a bit more about their upcoming shooter set in North Africa during the World War II-era, wherein players assume the role of an expert marksman whittling down the enemy and picking of notable elements of the Nazi war machine. The video below is from a pre-beta build of the game, and you can watch it right here thanks to GameTrailers to see what’s in store for players.

Meanwhile the images below are indicative of the visual detail one can expect in the game, with the various locales representative of what setting and atmosphere the develoers were going for. We also see the protagonist drawing a bead on some unlucky enemy solider, and in one of the screenshots he uses a blade to get up close and personal with his opponent. Stealth is likely to be the key to survival here, though that doesn’t mean that one should expect those gloriously gory and explicit killcams.
