The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt delayed again; to launch in May 2015

A bit of bad news for those looking forward to the most anticipated RPG of 2015; CD Projekt RED has said that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is being delayed again, and that the open-world third-person title will now arrive on 19 May 2015.

Currently under development for the PC, Xbox One and PS4, the game will mark the conclusion to the trilogy starring Geralt of Rivia AKA the White Wolf, who takes care of monster-related problems. This will be the second time the RPG is being postponed, as it was initially expected to arrive in late 2014, before being pushed back to February 2015.

The reason for the latest delay appears to be similar, as the studio has indicated that the ambitious nature of the project and the complexities it entails necessitate the additional time to ensure that the developers can provide a game with the features promised to make ti the best possible experience for the players.

While the announcement has disappointed a lot of fans, I for one would always prefer a delayed game that meets and even surpasses expectations rather than one which appears unfinished, unpolished or buggy requires day-one patches and numerous bug fixes. Take your time CD Projekt RED, and make sure Geralt gets the game he truly deserves!
