Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition – Vergil, Trish gameplay trailers

Whetting our appetite for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition’s launch later this Summer on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 is a new gameplay trailer for the same, showcasing the moves that Vergil and Trish can carry out.

The hack and slash title features three new playable characters, and Dante’s brother Vergil and the mysterious Trish are two of them. The clips show off footage from the ingame Turbo Mode, wherein gameplay speed is increased by around 20%. Vergil wields his signature Yamato sword as well as Force Edge, the Beowulf gauntlets and the Summoned Swords that allow him to unleash long-range attacks; there’s also the concentration gauge which lets skilled players perform more powerful and increased range attacks.

Meanwhile, Trish employs a more flashy combat style, with a versatile move set that makes weapon switching redundant and instead highlights mobility and area-of-effect attacks, including some devastating ranged weaponry. Her weapons include the twin pistols Luce & Ombra and the Sword of Sparda.
