Need for Speed: Rivals gets a Teaser Trailer
EA has released a teaser trailer for the next instalment in its racing franchise Need for Speed; titled Need for Speed: Rivals, it is being developed by Ghost Games for release on current generation platforms on 19 November, while Xbox One and PS4 will get the game next year. Developed using the powerful Frostbite 3 engine, the game allows players to step into the shoes of a cop or a racer, with the latter attempting to earn Speedpoints while evading cops during intense car chases; meanwhile, the police work as part of a team pursuing the racers and attaining higher ranks, accompanied by vehicles and tech. The game allows for comprehensive customisation of vehicles; both visual and performance upgrades can be obtained. Need for Speed: Rivals also introduces gadgets for both sides, such as turbo boosts, jammers and EMPs for racers, and shockwaves, roadblocks and helicopters for cops.
