PS4-exclusive Killzone Shadow Fall gets a developer diary

Here’s a new video from Guerrilla Games focusing on conversations with various members of the team on the inception and development of PS4 launch title Killzone Shadow Fall, the upcoming instalment in the first-person shooter franchise. Set for release in the Holiday period this year, the game focuses on a new conflict between the Helghast and the Vektan occupying the same world. In the clip below, the games executive producer Angie Smets talks about the new environments and locations built on a large scale and higher fidelity than before; game director Steven ter Heide reveals how the console allows for the creation and incorporation of new features such as higher resolution textures as well as advanced particle and lighting effects simultaneously.

Technical Director Michiel Leeuw talks about how the system allows for easier development, and how it translates to better features for players, such as allowing gamers to start playing the game after only a partial bit of the data has been downloaded onto the system , instead of having to wait for the entire download to complete.
