Ska Studios is working on a new game, a stylish 2D sidescrolling action platformer RPG called Salt and Sanctuary to be precise, and it is an exclusive for the PS4 and PS Vita. Featuring visceral combat and varied characters builds, the game puts you in the shoes of a sailor stranded on a strange island stricken with war, with numerous battles with assorted creatures to occupy your time between the sanctuaries littered across the location.

The trailer shows off the gameplay, which allows for one-handed as well as two-handed combat, and also includes magic (staffs), ranged attacks (bows, throwing knives), other melee weapons and shields. Your equipment affects the speed of movement as well as stamina regeneration, so a bit of tactical thought is necessary. The clip indicates that one can expect varied enemies, including some boss fights.
