Shadow of Mordor Story trailer, screenshots show new character, enemies, caragors; Voice talents revealed

An explosion of media for Shadow of Mordor has occurred, which means you get to inundate yourself in a bunch of updates on the third-person combat RPG set in Middle-Earth; we have a new trailer focusing on the story, a quarter of fresh images and info on the star cast lending their voices to characters in the game. The trailer shows off several new creatures, while also displaying portions of cinematic gameplay as Talion hacks and slashes his way through the orcs. It also reveals that the main character can dominate the minds of the enemies and raise his own personal army of orcs, while also displaying mountable beasts like the caragors of Mordor.

The screenshots below depict more of the same, with the ranger’s Wraith-powers in full display. We also have the lowdown on the voice talent for the game: the protagonist is voiced by Troy Baker (known from hit titles such as The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite and Batman: Arkham Origins), while the irreplaceable Nolan North lends his voice to Black Hand; rounding up the cast are Alastair Duncan, Laura Bailey and Liam O’Brien who voice Wraith, Ioreth and Gollum respectively. The score is being composed by Garry Schyman, known for his work in the BioShock series.
