Steampunk sidescrolling puzzler-platformer Teslagrad gets a gameplay trailer
Scandinavian indie developers Rain Games have issued the following trailer for their debut title Teslagrad, which is a unique little hand-drawn 2D steampunk sidescrolling puzzler-platformer scheduled for release in Q4 2013 on the PC, PS3 and Wii U. Magnetism and electricity form the basis of gameplay here, which takes place in a steampunk version of Europe called Elektropia. You play the role of a young boy descended from the ancient Teslamancer cast stuck in a conspiracy revolving around a despotic king; players will attempt to master the power of Teslamancy and magnetism to solver various puzzles and challenges in the desolate Tesla Tower. The game boasts of five old-school boss fights requiring players to employ their skills and wits to defeat the enemy, and no cutscenes, loading screens or GUI to distract you. Check out the gameplay video below, which is from the PS3 version of the game.
