New InFamous: Second Son images depict Delsin in Seattle
Sucker Punch Productions recently put their twitter account to good use by issuing a few new images of InFamous: Second Son, their PS4-exclusive open-world action-adventure featuring the superpowered Delsin Rowe. The two screenshots depict the protagonist employing his powers to defeat a couple of Department of Unified Protection (DUP) armed security personnel, while the single piece of artwork illustrates the downtown area in the early part of the game.
While the images largely serve to showcase the console’s capabilities in rendering superb visual effects such as smoke, effects, pool ripples and model detail, there are some indicators that there is still a bit of work to be done. The rendering of pedestrians’ shadows is a bit lacking in one screen, while in the other our hero’s foot seems to have sunk into the curb; granted we are nit-picking, and there is still some time left before the 21 March release, so hopefully the developers will iron out these inconsistencies prior to that.
