New Metro: Last Light screenshots depict post-apocalyptic life underground
Next up are three brand new screenshots of Metro: Last Light, the sequel to 4A Games’ hit FPS Metro 2033 released back in 2010 for the PC and Xbox 360. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow in the aftermath of a nuclear war, Metro: Last Light revolves around the remnants of humanity attempting to survive the harsh environment and the deadly mutants, all amidst a conflict between the various factions that have emerged in the aftermath.
The images are a reminder that those looking forward to playing this game on the PC should ensure that their rigs are upto the mark, as Metro: Last Light will contain detailed 2048×2048 textures, object-based tessellation, hardware-accelerated PhysX effects (for NVIDIA card owners) allowing for more realistic destruction of scene objects during combat, better particle effects and more. Metro: Last Light releases on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 14 May in North America and 17 May across Europe.
